Mummy's bday

Mummy's birthday is here once again. Make a guess how old my mummy is.

Well my sis and i decided to surprise my mum again, so we planned a day of itenary. We brought her for a make over session, followed by a mani and pedicure session and ending it off with a high tea buffet at the carousel. Whiloe my mum is being pampered for half the day, my sis and I went on a shopping trip and we bought about 5 pairs of shoes. Shoe fetish satisfied !

Christmas is here

Yippie and hooray, christmas is here. Tis the season to be jolly! I'm currently blogging frm my sis's new home, listening to my granny complaining to my mum, sis washing the dishes, brother-in-law pretending to be busy and me blogging away.

I slept in this christmas, starting off the day at about 11am. Headed off to pau's house for christmas lunch with her family. Her family spent 3 days preparing the sumptous meal for us. The spread includes sushi, roast chicken stuffed with apricot, pizza, corn dogs etc. It was a never ending spread! Of course we played our favourite game of "Bang" which all of us never fail to forget the rules of the game.

After lunch, I headed off to my sis's house for christmas dinner. My brother-in-law cooked chinese dinner for us, as my granny was joining us for dinner. We had wonderful log cake and gelato ice cream for dessert. Yummy... tis the season to be plump :)

So upon reflection, have I recieved anything on my christmas wish list? Hmmmm... this I would keep you guys updated. But i do love christmas, getting prezzies for my loved ones and seeing the smile on their face, what a wonderful feeling.

Chestnuts and Turkey round the corner

Well, I've been mia for quite a while, so here are some updates. I'm still alive and looking forward to my favourite season of the year, not so much of the recieving but giving. Have been doing quite a bit of shopping with mum and of course wrapping of prezzies (which i'm still not good yet). My sis have shifted out of the house but things are still in a mess, so tons of packing to do today. The past 2 weeks have been quite a busy one for me. As of my previous post, sharad (cmy classmate from india) visited singapore, thus I was trying my best to meet up with him. We went to clinic at clarke quay and i must say it is a good place to people watch.

I've not been sleeping well for the past 2 weeks, but I'm getting better at this sleeping thing now and my appetite is back!!!! Yippie, just in time for christmas. Havent been to the gym these 2 weeks, feeling guilty bout it, but my insomnia is making me really tired and I just cant seem to drag my ass to the gym. I'm gonna be more consistent from next week onwards, back to at least twice a week (fingers crossed).

Christmas is round the corner and I have a new fav christmas son (coz it talks bout food.. hahah)
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
For kids from one to ninety two
Although its been said many times many ways
Merry Christmas to you

To end it all off, here are some photos of the week and a very Merry Christmas to all of you. *Blogging would commence after christmas*

Wedding and all its essence

My sis big day is finally over, church wedding and lunch all over in 8 hours. It was tiring for all of us, makes me feel that I should have a very simple wedding in the future. How about Bali uluwatu (I'm not kidding, such a place do exist)http://www.tirthabridal.com/content/view/18/92/

So people at the wedding were asking me when is it gonna be my turn? My reply was of course, when I find someone!! Well, I hope to have a clear direction relationship wise by the end of 2008, not that I'm complaining bout the freedom to date different pple, but its always great to have someone to go home to (not to mention someone to shower me with gifts... haha) I'm very very high maintanence.... ya rite :)

I've decided to be more consistent in my gym routine and not be such a bum animore. Mark is away in Australia, hope things are going okay for him. Christmas is round the corner, spread the cheer and dont take your love ones for granted.

Isnt she absolutely beautiful

Selfish christmas??

Well Christmas is around the corner and is by far my favourite season of the year. Was talking to my sis one day and getting her opinion on whether i should get a new phone or not and it came down to it being a need or a want. Then it struck me that christmas is actually a very selfish festical, coz "All I want for Christmas is..." Christmas carols talk about wants and not needs!!! To add on to this, friends always ask "What do you want for Christmas?" So christmas has turned into a "What I want season" !!

On the other hand, I would definately want someone to buy me something that I want instead of something that I need. Well, the difference between a need and a want would mean getting a wallet from topshop vs a coach wallet. So I think you get what I mean.

I aint complaining bout getting wonderful presents and how wonderful christmas is. Its just that we need to take time off to be grateful for whatever extras we are getting this christmas, coz its ultimately what we want and not what we need :)

Under the tuscan sun

I remember this movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" that I've watched about half a year ago. I could still remember a phrase from the movie.. Dont go looking for ladybirds, they would look for you when you least expect it. In the context of the movie, the lady was looking for love and could never find it, but love found her when she least expected it.

I guess that is applicable to all aspects of our lives. Sometimes we try too hard to make things work, but things may just turn out otherwise. An analogy would be people taking part in a lucky draw, most of the time the winners are those who seldom take part in a luck draw or who have only 1 lucky draw ticket.

Well, for my 24th birthday next year, I have decided to spend it overseas with a special someone. Dont ask who that special someone would be, coz I have no idea yet. So I have 5 months to look for that special someone who is gonna spend a romantic weekend with me. Well if i cant find a guy, i could always go with mummy :) So based on my little theory above, I would stop looking for a guy to bring me overseas and there would be tons of guys offering to do so. Hahaha... silly as it may seems, it does bring joy to me on this monday afternoon.

I'm addicted to the HK drama.. forensic heroes

Sunny Sunday, Sun is out to play

Sunday is here again. Love sundays. Family lunches, shopping, wonderful dinners, rest... all in one sunday. Well, went over to granny's place this afternoon to play with my 4 month old nephew. He looks so adorable, my mum couldnt take her hands off him. Love it when he smiles with a wink ;)

My baby nephew... Marc

Running errands on sunday
Was at Taka this afternoon, looking around for a wallet for mummy's bday. I was at Coach and I saw this lovely wallet, it looks superb. Its one of those stuff that you fall in love at first sight. However, I dont think I would wanna spend such an amount on a wallet.... so its on the top of my wishlist for christmas :) Think it would remain at the top for a long long time... hehhehe.

All I want for Christmas is you :)

HK cafe at Raffles Place shopping centre

Another week has past, mummy is back from macau with wonderful stories bout the shopping and food that I have to try when I'm there. Had a stay over with the uni clique at jud ah ma's house, it was great fun, all the food, drinks and laughter. Reminissance of the past.
Well updates on my sis wedding, we have been running around getting clothes tailored, getting stuff for the house and of course getting the wedding invites ready to be sent out. Excited!
