Dinner at Tang Dian Wang

Mum decided to try out this new chinese (Shanghai) restaurant at Herren. Well apparently its not that new and they have quite a few branches. Well we didnt have high expectations in the first place as we expected it to be the typical chinese restaurant food. But I have to say that the food was very tasty and not what you usually get in the chinese resturant. So a few of my favourites would be the soup, mince pork and salted fish pancake, lion head meatball and the toufu with bah kwa. The total cost for four of us was about 80 bucks and we ordered about 6 dishes. Not to mention the setting of the place is lovely and i just love the jazzy chinese oldies in the background.

Xmas @ jud's granny house

Was browsing through my photos and realised that I have not blogged about this yet. Well my colleagues headed over to jud's granny house for a gathering. We had pot luck, played card games and sticked silly eyebrows on ourselves. It was a great time of fun and bonding. We should have this more often :)

Lovelies

How many lives shall I touch today?
How many neighbors will pass my way?
I can bless so many and help so much
If I meet each one with a Christlike touch. —Jones

Major discovery

I've made a major discovery this morning as I was heading out for breakfast with mummy.

I'm sure you would have realised that most old people walk with a hunch. Medical studies state that its due to aging that we start to hunch. But I've made a major discovery that there may be another contributing factor. Realise that when most ladies head to the market for groceries shopping, they would push along with them a little trolley. This trolley is the culprit! One has to hunch in order to push it, unless you are like 1.4m tall then it would be perfect. So due to constant use of the trolley, the user would tend to hunch more and more. Tada!! I'm a genius.

Well all part of my randomness....

V day is round the corner once again

Well V day is round the corner and i'm sure some guys are at a lost of what to do. Besides the usual roses, chocolates and dinner, what else can you do to make it special?

1. Suspense, surprise... keep her pondering

If you are planning to meet your gf at night, drop her an sms or a written note given her a hint of whats in store for the night. For those who are not good with words, a small parcel would help. For eg, if you plan to bring her to the beach, you can include a seashell in the parcel. (You get my point) However do pre-empt your gf what to wear, you dont want her to hate you for being inappropriately dressed.

2. Cooking for her

Yes this may sounds like a recipe for disaster, but it is definately one of the sweetest thing to do. It doesnt have to tast fantastic, just as long as you dont poison her. Well if this task sounds daunting, try making desserts (use pre-mix).

3. Say it live

Well if you dont plan to spend vday out with the rest of the crowd, but stay at home and watch rented dvds. Here's what you can do. Record a little video of yourself telling your gf how much you love her and all the lovey-dovey stuff. Play it when you excuse yourself out of the room and enter when it has ended. It would be lovely if you are entering with her vday gift or flowers or whatever you have up your sleeves.

4. Photos photos and more photos

Guess the title says it all. Do a collage, or a really cool poster of the journey both of you have been through.

Most importantly, do your bookings early. You dont want to spoil your perfect plan. Remember there is no perfect gift, it must come from the heart.

Well as for myself, no plans as of yet. Would there be any? This I do not know.

Come back soon

These are a few of my favourite things

Garnier roll-on. One of the eye gels that work and due to its roll on ability, it leaves a nice coat of translucent gel at the bottom of your eyes. Now you are able to step out without concealer and able to party the whole night through without having to worry bout those heavy eye bags.

I am such a sucker for almonds and dark chocolate, put them together and it becomes one of my guilty indulgence. This lovely pot can be bought at chocolate factory and it just might be the valentines day chocolates that you are looking for. Not too sweet nor bitter, leaves you wanting for more.

This cute little silicon face scrub is from Daiso. Use it to gently scrub your face with your usual facial wash and it would clear your pores and remove blackheads. Does it work? Well its my first day of using it, but I sure do enjoy the massage.

This I cant live without. I use it as a moisturizer, it can get rather oily so use it before bedtime. It works best on skin, just after you have showered. It can be used for hair as well, leave it on for bout 10 mins before showering, it makes your hair shine. I've not tried it on my hair yet, maybe I would. I am such an oily woman... hahaha

Away April

Take me to a far away land
Where romance is no longer a dream.
Where birds sing under the sun beam.
Where flowers are awake by dew.
Where our sun kissed skin feel like new
Where footprints remain forever in the sand.
