Chinese New Year

I would be away for Chinese New Year... woohoo.... off to bangkok once again.

So as the story goes, i come from a very small family, so visiting would only be max 2 houses. Thus every CNY, we decide to ride on the festive mood and head down for a time of shopping and tom yam :) We do have friends over at Bangkok, so ita a kind of reunion for us in a way. I would be heading down with my mum this evening, if you guys need anything just drop me an sms, would be more than happy to get stuff on your behalf.

Once again Happy Chinese New Year... I would be back for more feasting and visiting :)

New Year Resolution

I use to think that new year resolutions are wonderful statements that we say every 1st of Jan to make ourselves believe that we are gonna be better people in the year to come. Majority of the time, I have said it and I dont even remember it halfway thru Jan.

There are many definition to the word resolution but my favourite one is "the act of analyzing a complex notion into a simpler one"

A new year brings along new challenges and also difficulties from the year before. In order to overcome these challenges or difficulties (which usually seem like a huge and impossible task), small steps would help to pave our way. Thus by resoluting, we would plan in advance the small steps that we are going to take to overcome the challenges that have been made known to us. It could be challenges like exams, wedding preparations, personal goals etc.

So I've decided that for the first time in 23 years of my life that I'm gonna draft down a new year resolution and ensure that I achieve it by the end of 2009.

  1. To be more consistent with my daily devotion (no more sleepy head)
  2. To hit the gym at least twice a week
  3. To take part in a marathon
  4. To achieve more at work
  5. To pack my stuff for the big move
  6. To love those who never gave up on me

31st December 2008... Sis birthday...

31st December, New Year's Eve aka sis's bday, was spent shopping and shopping and shopping. Mum and I decided to take my sis out for a much deserved shopping trip, so off we went to marina square. I would say we did get our loot and our feet were tired out.

Happy Birthday Sis
