I use to think that new year resolutions are wonderful statements that we say every 1st of Jan to make ourselves believe that we are gonna be better people in the year to come. Majority of the time, I have said it and I dont even remember it halfway thru Jan.
There are many definition to the word resolution but my favourite one is "the act of analyzing a complex notion into a simpler one"
A new year brings along new challenges and also difficulties from the year before. In order to overcome these challenges or difficulties (which usually seem like a huge and impossible task), small steps would help to pave our way. Thus by resoluting, we would plan in advance the small steps that we are going to take to overcome the challenges that have been made known to us. It could be challenges like exams, wedding preparations, personal goals etc.
So I've decided that for the first time in 23 years of my life that I'm gonna draft down a new year resolution and ensure that I achieve it by the end of 2009.

- To be more consistent with my daily devotion (no more sleepy head)
- To hit the gym at least twice a week
- To take part in a marathon
- To achieve more at work
- To pack my stuff for the big move
- To love those who never gave up on me
